Simplifying Pet Healthcare with Smart Injection Solutions
The Problem
In China, pet healthcare is largely limited to major cities, leaving 80% of pet owners struggling with routine care. And Injectable medicine accounts for the largest proportion of pet healthcare.
The Solution
To address this, I designed an injection tool with a companion app, simplifying vaccine selection and enabling remote consultations.

Findings
01 Preventing infections
To get an infection make sure that the instruments used are sterile and avoid cross-contamination. Correct positioning prior to injection is also key to preventing infection, ensuring that the entry point of the needle is clear and precise to reduce the likelihood of bacterial invasion.
Need for pet ergonomics
The design needs to take into account the comfort of the handle, the streamlining of the implement and the weight distribution to ensure that the discomfort and anxiety of the pet can be minimized during operation, while also reducing the difficulty of operation and increasing the success rate.
The design needs to be anatomically correct
Keeping the needle length to 5mm or less avoids unnecessary muscle or spinal injuries and ensures effective absorption of the medication.
